tomorrow's election between bush and kerry makes me think of the scene in north and south where constance tells george they're going to have a baby. right before that, they're talking about lincoln. george is a little worried, and constance is like but george, you want lincoln to win. it so fits what's happening today. and the thought that back then, women couldn't vote. constance couldn't vote. yet, she could still discuss politics with her husband.
