Posted by Jason Anyway, I've often wondered as to why they recast certain actors. Does anyone else get the distinct impression that there was actually a considerable amount of time between filming of Book I and II. I don't really think they filmed them back to back. The length of Patrick Swayze hair in Book II is a good example. Did they film the first one thinking that the second one wouldn't be filmed? There are other clues. As far as the recasts that happened, I'd have to say that I preferred John Stockwell as original Billy, and I actually preferred Mary Crosby as second Isabel. Both actors in each role worked just fine but those were my preferences. I wonder what would have made them recast the roles, and we are treated to yet another Isabel in Book III.

I'm so full of thoughts about the miniseries since I'm currently finishing it up on dvd as I'm sure many of you all are too.
