What I find more interesting about Book II is the face that Orry, Charles, George and Billy are very rarely out of uniform, except when George was recovering from his imprisonment at Libby Prison and at the end where they had Clarissa's funeral. What I also find charming about it was the fact that Billy had taken Tom, the young drummer boy and basically became the lad's mentor and sort of father-figure {like the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America}. I also found it enjoyable that Billy and Charles were viewed as romantic leading men {kudo to Parker Stevenson for being a top-notich romantic leading man}, along with George and Orry. And the fact that despite the outburts and disapproval of their women, they still loved the men in their lives. And yes, Ashton was as b###hy as ever.
