I liked the miniseries storyline better.I admire her for not letting him get away with what he did to her. Virgilia was portrayed as a very tragic soul, and this is very moving.
: Virgilia was hanged in the miniseries
: for shooting Sam Greene. George
: came to visit her, but didn't stay.
: It was the closest they'd been
: throughout the whole series. She
: gave him her wedding ring to give
: Hope when she was older.

: I've read the first two books but
: that
: was a few years ago. I've been
: watching the DVD and I don't
: remember Congressman Green being in
: the books. Could someone refresh my
: memory? Was Virgilia involved with
: someone to escape criminal charges?
: She is put to death in the second
: book, correct?

: His name was Sam Stout, the senator
: if i'm not wrong.
