I have acquired an Arrow Glass ski boat with a Mercury Merc 8000 80 hp. outboard motor. The title for the boat says it is a 1979 year model but I am told the Merc 8000 80hp was made only up to the late 1960's by a boat retailer. I am looking for as much information for the boat motor specifically the fuel mix ratio. This boat has been sitting out in the weather for about 10 years and I want to know if it would be worth fixing up. The "salesman" at the boat retailer said that model boat motor is not a good motor and only has a book value of $300.00. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
