cheack the coils on top of moter under fly weel i work on old boat motors and no a few things about them. if fuel pluigs and points are new cheack them.also u might need to rebuid carb
the do get pluged and if their is varnish or dirt particules in the jets it wont let the right amount of fuel be diliverd to the moter
