Bass Question

We are catching bigger fish this year than last. We are using the same tactics and fisghing the same areas. Last year we caught more fish but none were really big. This year fewer fish but they are all on the big side.
We are unsure of what has changed. Does anybody have a guess as to what may have transpired?
