Our company, Synovate, is currently recruiting Norwegian speakers to work as telephone market research interviewers in our Kennington & Putney call centres, on a part-time casual basis (part-time casual means there is no formal contract of employment guaranteeing hours but the person employed is equally flexible, able to work as/when it suits his or her particular situation).
This type of work will generally appeal to students, actors, people who are looking for flexibility and need to plan there schedule on a week-by-week basis. It might also suit Norwegians who are taking time off from their studies or are taking an extended vacation to the UK, and would like to experience what it is like to work and live in London for a period of time. There is no age restriction however, Synovate is an equal opportunity employer, and will consider all applicants based upon their respective suitability. A professional telephone manner and a reasonable command of English are essential (the position involves a limited amount of translation).
Foreign-language interviewers are paid at an hourly rate of £7.60. Tax and National Insurance are deducted and interviewers are paid every two weeks. The standard hours for Norwegian consumer interviewing are 16:00-20:00 Monday-Friday and 10:00-19:00 Saturday/Sunday. Full training will be provided.
