Forecast Outlook: The depression is expected to move on a slow NW track within the next 24 to 36 hours, closer to the eastern coast of Luzon stretching from Aurora up to Cagayan. The 2 to 3-day medium-range forecast shows the system becoming a strong tropical storm and is likely to reach Typhoon status on Wednesday or Thursday (Sep 10-11) as it starts to track more Northward in the direction of Batanes-Taiwan-Southern Japan area.
