: Good idea, I'm interested... I agree
: with leaving apparel out of it. Can
: we classify "Surf Shop" as
: any shop that sells or rents boards?

: After visiting a nice little metal
: shack called Cliffs down in Itoman
: and the recent surge in new stand up
: paddle shops, I got to
: wondering...how many surf shops are
: in Okinawa?
:
: First, I suppose we should classify
: what defines a surf shop. Wetsuit
: shops wouldn't for sure, surf school
: rental type shops are pretty close,
: the quiksilver and roxy shops in
: Naha and the Rusty store in Chattan
: wouldn't.
:
: The Source is opening a Billabong
: store but I am assuming it's only
: clothes so in order to be a
: "real" surf shop, I think
: the store should be selling some
: boards.
:
: I also got to thinking about older
: shops long since closed and some of
: the old timers who started up little
: shacks. I was hoping some of you
: guys would chime in on this since I
: have only been here four years.
:
: Also, please leave your opinions
: about specific shops to yourself --
: I was just interested in a little
: history.
