I would say buy here. They're slightly more expensive but if you bought there you make up the difference in airline fee's or shipping costs. Even if you get free shipping like military TMO, you still run a very high risk of getting it dinged up.
Additionally, if you've never surfed in Okinawa before you might want to get a little local advise on what shape to buy. The waves differ from most other breaks here.
When you do get here I would suggest checking out "Source". It's a surfshop in Sunabe that has the best selection, English speaking staff, and reasonable prices.
