I'm with you Lew, fall out there is awesome!! Remember the Holloween full moon coming up over the hills behind Preston and Maggies house. And the sound of bellowing calves separated from their mommas during shipping week...ALL NIGHT LONG. Nothing better than being in the cabin closest to the incoming horses with a cup of hot java when they come in to feed...First you think you hear them, then you think you see them...Like wraiths floating between the trees in the chill morning mist. And then finally you see them...steam blowing from their nostrils, some acting like they know they've got a job to do, all business, and the others acting like they just got in from recess...goofy as hell!! I miss it too buddy and wish I was there.
Thank God the trees change color here in MO too, and on a chilly morning the mist hangs a little longer while I drink my java. Otherwise I'd have nothing to keep me going until I get back to the N-. Take care all!
