Posted by Kerri I came to your ranch one year ago September for a week with my Dad and Steve from MA and the rest of his gang. I am not really comfortable posting my thoughts on the website board but I after reading a bit about the challenges of ranching, just wanted to wish you well. I remember a conversation we had about making life an adventure and how good it feels when you find the place in the world where you know you should be. I truly hope you are able to keep your dream alive. When I read your logs, I feel strongly that you are where you should be; with Maggie by your side. I can kind of see the ranch in my mind when I read the logs. It makes me laugh to think of you sitting out in the wilderness shooting off that gun and mumbling obscenities at nothing in particular. I can remember how quickly the cold settles in and causes you to chatter and shiver the instant you move away from the fire. I have to admit, I would have liked it too! That damn truck and all that hay!! I just shook my head in disbelief while reading that one. I wouldn’t have liked that. I only wish I had the chance to see the wild the those wolf eyes before you shooed them away. I had hoped to get back out there as there were a few things I didn’t get to do last time. I really wanted to rope something, brand something, and at least watch you cut the balls off of something. I would loved to have seen your guest ride the bovine. The list goes on!! Chances are I won’t be getting back there so I guess I just want to say thanks for sharing your stories and wish you and Maggie all the best. It was a great experience and I am very glad to have had the chance. Please add my email address to the group you send the weekly logs to. Here is what my logs would look like. “Today, was a good day. I caught up on 6 loads laundry and didn’t have to beat a single child…” (Y'all know that was just a joke, yes?) Warmest regards to you both, Kerri from MA.
