Posted by Bernadette on 2/17/2005, 7:30 pm I ask b/c I am in a mixed relationship with a man who does not believe as I do, but is all for raising our children Catholic, using NFP, and respecting my beliefs. I understand that there could still be difficulties, but we are fortunate enough to have clear communication as a couple, and do not hide concerns from one another. I was just wondering, how do I know if we are meant to be in the eyes of God? Or, in other words, how can I tell the difference b/w what God wants, and simply being blinded by love? I need an honest answer, and am hoping I can find on here. Thanks,

I just thought I'd ask a question of everyone here: how does a Catholic know if they are being called to a mixed marriage? I understand that potential conversion of the non-Catholic spouse is one reason, but are there any other reasons than this. Also, is anyone here in a successful mixed marriage?
