Is Christmas Pagan?

I am responding to your web page on the paganism of christmas. I have heard a lot about the paganism of it. The name itself means Christ Mass and Mass is a celebration of the dead. Why then is it supposed to be the celebration of Christs birth? There are so many similarities between Christmas and the pagan holiday celebrating the sun God that it is hard not to really look into it. I did and I have to admit the results are shocking. Jeremiah 10:2 Tells us not to decorate a Christmas tree! That it is pagan! That alone was as plain as day. Also it represents pornographic things and so does the wreath. I cant ignore these facts. I want to do what is right and this is obviously not.
