Roman Catholics are members of the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church. Eastern Catholics are members of the Eastern Rites of the Catholic Church. Many Eastern Rites came about when certain Eastern Orthodox Christians, who had broken away from the Pope, decided to return. The popes let them keep their own liturgical and cultural traditions, so they formed various rites distinct from the Roman Rite. But they are just as Catholic as Roman Catholics, no more, no less.
Christian means a follower of Jesus. Catholicism is the original Christian Church, founded by Christ on St Peter, the first pope. Over time, groups of Christians broke away from the popes and formed separate Christian churches and ecclesial communities. But the Catholic Church is still the first.
You say that some Christians have approached you. Do you know what kind they are? If they are challenging Catholicism, see this page for how to answer them:
