Outdoor catholic mass

Hello, My fiance and I (both baptised Catholic) are interested in having an outdoor catholic nuptial mass. We have heard of several people in the past two years (friends of friends) who have been able to have nuptial masses performed in outdoor settings. However when we have brought this up with members of our parish office, we have been told that outdoor nuptial masses cannot be performed. I welcome any and all comments that people may have about this. Thank you!!! -Daphne
