You must persevere and never give up! It's not easy at all at times but keep gently helping him along with simplicity and clarity of words but without pressures. One step at a time at the right time - sometimes allow for the fact that his doubts on something might not make him ready for the next step you feel it's right. You need attention and determination if you want changes to work deep down effectively. Be patient with yourself too - allow for mistakes on your part and keep these words in mind: as they say in Italian 'non mettere limiti alla Provvidenza!" Enjoy sharing together the Bread of Life! And why not? plan a trip to Rome now! Sharing together some days there visiting some churches and holy places with the right guide might help him along the spiritual path...
