I bought a backstage pass. It's 7 bucks, no big deal. Chump change. And I love listening to Phil Hendrie. But you know what? There is only enough material on Phil's Official Site to keep you listening for a few weeks. Then you'll run out of clips, unless you want to keep listening to the same ones over and over and over. 90% of the clips on his site are 5 to 6 minutes long. Go take a look if you don't believe me.
Other than the 5 minute long tiny nuggets of comedy gold, there are a few dozen clips about 30 minutes long and the infamous 30-day archive.
You can get free live streams of the Phil Hendrie show all over the internet. 30 day archive? I'd rather listen to him on the radio.
What I want are the full classic clips, the true "comedy gold". This simply CANNOT BE FOUND on Phil's site.
For all of you newer fans out there, Phil used to be alot funnier. He was downright hilarious. I have a little chuckle once in a while when listening these days, but those old clips leave my sides aching. He was a genius. There is no other way of putting it.
MyCrappySite had many of these classic clips available to the masses before Phil Hendrie and Premiere Radio shut it down. I hope that you, the reader of this post, saved these clips. Because you sure as hell won't find them at the Official Site. Oh, I'm sure tiny bits and pieces of them may eventually show up on Phil's Site (in their new and improved 5 minute length). Phil left MyCrappySite open long enough to get the material back that he never bothered to record in the first place. BUT YOU WILL NEVER AGAIN hear the entire clips.
If this is ok with you, great. Go have fun on Phil's site. I'm cancelling my BackStage Pass, there is nothing left there for me.
