Posted by Omar on September 9, 2002, 8:57 pm As far as I know, the KFI and WOAI websites will continue streaming Phil as they have in the past. It's payed for by advertisers, not you. Happy listening! --Previous Message--
Dave, do you realize that the quote from PhilHendrieShow.com was posted a year ago and that it was refering to the free official stream? It was October 15th 2001 that the Backstage Pass thing started up.
: From Phil's site...
: "Remember -- beginning October 15th only
: subscribers will be able to listen to Phil
: Hendrie's radio show on line at
: PhilHendrieShow.com"
:
: While I was pretty bummed about Phil pulling
: the plug on MCS and other free archive
: sites, I am really bummed about the free
: live streaming on affiliate's internet
: stations ending Oct 15th. I live in an
: area that does not have a local affiliate
: so I can't listen to him live on the radio
: for "free", and next month won't
: be able to listen to him at all unless I
: pay 6.95 a month. It's not like I was
: going to bootleg his stuff from the free
: feed or anything. I'm just a fan that
: enjoys Phil Hendrie's show. Is the
: backstage pass really worth 7 bucks? From
: what I have read here it's not. Like I
: said I'm not concerned with being able to
: download anything, I just wanna be able to
: get my regular Phil fix after Oct 15th.
: Thanks for all the great stuff you had here
: MCS...
: It was fun
