I do not understand those of you who are upset about paying seven bucks for a PHS subscription. Every post I've read is from Phil fans who enjoy his show. Do you get HBO for free? Can you attend a live comedy show for free? If you worked for over 20 years to achieve a level of success where you can make some real money, would you want people jacking your material and denying you of money for material you own?
Hey, I've downloaded and recorded (and still do)all the Phil stuff I can when I can. But I also don't mind paying my dues. Acquire an audio recording utility, set it to record the three hour streaming show off Phil's site, and listen to the show, commercial free, the next day. Easy. Cheap.
Quit complaining and get real. You'll probably expend more time (my time is money) trying to circumvent the process that participating in it. The subscription is worth it.
