I started smoking the summer between third and fourth grade when I was 8 years old. It was a different time. Kids could buy cigarettes easily; there were great smoking role models on tv like Don Johnson and in movies like Bruce Willis and you could smoke wherever and whenever you wanted ... even if you were a pre-teen. I miss those days and feel sorry for kids who face such difficulties buying and smoking cigatettes.
