I still see people(probably most likely either patients at this place, or friends visiting a patient there) smoking in front of hospitals, despite the smoke-free campus rules many hospitals have stupidly imposed. Ditto with park and beach smoking bans, in the few places that have such stupid outdoor smoking prohibitions.
I haven't visited my former community college since a campus smoking ban affecting all their campuses took effect in March of this year, but I imagine there's still a lot of disobedience of their new rule, which is no smoking on campus whatsoever. There already was disobedience that started to occur, when their several campuses adopted very partial outdoor smoking bans in 2005(usually only outside of a few entrances/exits into that college, where that entrance/exit was designated as non-smoking).

: I have noticed that even a few companies here
: are making some changes. There is a national
: well-care company downtown where you used to
: be able to see employees at just about any
: time taking smoke breaks outside the
: building. Apparently they have told the
: employees they can't smoke on the same block
: as the building now (the building takes up
: the entire city block) as it is bad for the
: company's image. There are a few rebels that
: go across the street and stand out in front
: of a local sushi bar and restaurant and
: still smoke. The ironic thing is that they
: made this change, but there are still
: ashtray stands at each corner and entrance
: to the facility.
