It is fairly sexy as well although I also prefer to see a nice lady smoking a real cigarette. It is a nice alternative though and so far I have not seen anything that really indicates that it is bad for you or your lungs like cigarette smoking is.
I vape all day in my office at work and we use them inside of most restaurants, airports, bars, theaters, professional sports arenas and many other places where smoking is not allowed.
I think the reason that regualar cigarettes appeal to us more might have to do with the rebellion side of smoking. Everyone knows it is bad for your health, but a lady smoking is a little "bad" and is rebelling against that risk and choosing to smoke even if society is putting pressure on all of us not to do it.
As for the E-cigarettes, you can even get them with no nicotine so that you won't get addicted. This might be something that you could show to your significant other that she might be more open to.
