Please don't buzz strangers in.....

A gentleman (and I use the term loosely) managed to enter, and pass out in, one of the corridors in Beacon last night. There was no forced entry, the locks are all functioning correctly and the only way he could have got in is by tailgating someone in or being buzzed in.
Please DO NOT buzz people in unless you know them - even if it is annoying that they are buzzing you late and you just want them to go away. Call the Estate Office or the rozzers.
Thankyou to Tom, Simon and TH police (eventually) for keeping an eye on him and removing him.

This is just a bump and a reminder to all as we're heading for a time of year when people will be out late partying or away visiting people.

If someone tries to come in with you who you don't recognise as a resident please politely challenge them - asking where they are going, asking to see their keys, etc.

Just in response to this - the door to our block which is also Beacon House, has been temperamental and so, whilst I am sure people do let others in, it may well be that he got in through this way instead. I have often returned home to find the front door open. It has been reported and looked at in the past but continues to be a problem. Perhaps people could check as they come and go that the door has shut properly behind them to stop this happening in the future.

JUst noticed that this happened in February. However, guess the point is still relevant. Was burgled in my last estate (Clippers Quay) because the communal doors were left open, and so would hate the same to happen again here.
