The chap from British Waterways has been most helpful in calling me back when he learns more. They have run into some difficulties (mostly weather, but also apparently Thames Clippers wanted a particular type of fendering on the pier to cope with the clipper boats which has taken longer to fit than was anticipated) and the new expected date for the re-opening of the pier is 21 April (a 14-week closure). I'll post any updates that I receive from here on out to this thread.
