Posted by Andrew on 7/31/2002, 12:20 am What's wrong with having an opinion. Typing on the web is fun for me. I usually do it during breaks at work or late at night when I return from WC practice. Right now I'm on vacation. Just because I have only 2.5 years WC experience doesn't mean that I cannot comment on things I see or which has common sense. When a response becomes inane or silly I usually become wordy and more serious sounding. At 35 years old I wish I had the time and money and inclination to be a very dedicated student. Be that as it may, I just attend 3X/week, 3-4 hours/class. I usually only respond to posts that pique my interest which usually means the person who posts the message has a wrong impression about something (yes, I am opinionated. So what?) or needs clarification about the school. Besides, I sort have self-appointed myself as the unofficial responder to posts on this forum for my school. Sifu Tony doesn't like typing much since his typing skill (which is poor) is in inverse proportion to his WC fighting skill (which is great). He reads all the posts himself and comments to me about them from time to time. If he doesn't like what I'm doing he'll just tell me to stop. Besides, he thinks web forums are usually BS anyway. He thinks that if you have something to say you should tell him personally or on the phone. Now my typing skills (which is good) is definitely in inverse proportion to my WC fighting skill - which is probably why I tend to be nonviolent :). I usually type as if it was the Neverending Story. I just go on and on and on and on. That's my way. I try not to BS people and try to be honest. If people are dishonest with their posts I try to be honest anyway. I never said was my WC is great. I'm mediocre at best. But as I've written before I want some skills and strategies so that in an extreme situation I will have a chance to survive. As you can see from this post I will not shut up. But as usual I offer an invitation to our school if you happen to be in this country and in the Chicago area. You can teach us a little. Heaven knows I need it. May you prosper in all that you do. Andrew
