Posted by Andrew on 2/12/2002, 10:47 pm Now, I don't consider my self tough at all. Basically I'm a wimp. But just in case trouble came to me out of nowhere I know I would have a plan, a strategy, some training behind me, and, therefore, A CHANCE. Sifu Tony says, "When you fight the mad and the insane all your martial arts go down the drain." Using this as a precept we understand or at least acknowledge the reality that real fighting for survival is something you must have great respect for and prepare for or you will be pounded or dead. He gives you the skill to hopefully take out an attacker in 3-5 seconds. Anything longer will bring exhaustion and defeat. You will need extensive endurance training to go longer. This is reality. Don't even think of taking on more than one person. We train for it but it would be easier to run a marathon. Sifu has a great respect for boxers (he was one) and street fighters (he was that too). So Sifu always cautions us what will or will not work in a real situation. Come on in and check out the school. Sifu welcomes guests. It's a small school and Sifu caters to individuals. You can train hard and spar hard or train easy. It's up to you and the commitment you make.
IF I trained 6-8 hours a day for 2-3 years, which I don't, and I had my Sifu (teacher) training me I think I might have a small chance. I might actually beat and bite Tyson's ear off. Biting is allowed in our school. Yummy ears, yummy noses. But since I don't train that hard I think I'll avoid Tyson. Tyson is a world class athlete. I'm a world class wimp. If I had to confront Tyson I would take out a firearm and discharge it several time into his knees and shoulders. Then I would bite his ear off and claim victory. Of course then I would shoot him in the head and run away.
