Hi all. I am a new student to wing chun. I would like to use it to stay fit and limber. What are some exercises I can use to get really in shape? Also, my main complaint with wing chun is that it doesn't really seem to have instant effectiveness on the street, like tae kwon do (which I used to study). It seems like their are no high kicks, which is really important for suprising the opponent while impressing the onlookers at the same time. I think that if your style does not have flashy high kicks, you will be at a *serious* disadvantage when facing a tae kwon do practitioner. Also, does your school use uniforms? I think that they are important, especially because they look neat and breed unity in the school. I welcome any comments. -Andrew J.
