Pitch is easy, as long as you have the clef (usually F or C), the lines and spaces work the same. Rhythm is a challenge. I receommend transcribing pitch first--there are a couple of neumes that have to be untangle because two notes are connected, but your guide should cover that. Then, if you want the rhythm, use your guide to discern the meter first (if one is provided), and go from there. If you get a beat wrong, will it make a difference?
