This is an interesting find. Which book are you using?
First, the D is the 7 and the F is the 9, and there is a dim interval between the B and the F. However, a dim chord is determined by the triad, which in this case is not diminished, but minor.
There is the possibility of the flat 9 being called diminished in this case, the chord taken in isolation (not considering the key). A "regular" min9 chord would have an F#, so in one sense, the 9 is diminished. However, broad usage of iiidim9 indicates a dim triad with the 7 and 9 spelled according to the key signature.
Are you in the U.S.? Language varies in music theory, and I think that may be the issue here.
