I haven't heard of this before. What does it mean for pitch to be represented in three dimensions? I often think of musical dimensions as melody/rhythm (horizontal space), harmony (vertical space), and timbre (aural space), but it's really a syntactical equation more than any real parallel to real 3 dimensional space.
