Great write-up! (And this gave me a chuckle: "With the help of these flashbacks, we learn more about Leona Stevenson's life. Her husband is a knucklehead for one.") I well remember seeing this film on television when I was little, and being so frightened by the end. I've always liked it, though -- perhaps that's why. Last summer, I read the 1948 novelization of the radio play; it was very good and surprisingly chilling and tension-filled, even though I knew what was going to happen. -- Karen
