Velvet Underground co-founder John Cale, still going strong at age 80 as he continues a waywardly accomplished career (a European tour is planned for early next year), weighs in on his favorite film--which is definitely a noir...but we'll let you click on the link to find out which one. ...and a title that's quite appropriate for a songwriter whose output includes titles such as Gun, Fear Is A Man's Best Friend, Crime in the Desert and Sudden Death, and who stirred up a mini-hornet's nest back in 1976 with his unhinged performance during the middle section of his Leaving It Up To You. (And then there's his "horror film" remake of Elvis' Heartbreak Hotel...)
