He worked with Orson Welles and the Mercury Players. Alfred Hitchcock gave him his first important screen role in "Saboteur" and, later, had a long association with Lloyd on television's "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour."
Lloyd also directed episodes of "Columbo."
He was in Anthony Mann's "The Black Book" and John Garfield's final film "He Ran All the Way."
For a character actor, he did pretty well. I remember him from "St. Elsewhere" and "The Dead Poet's Society."
