With a lingering connection to noir fiction, the Bryson Apartments are miraculously still with us in 2018.
Blogger Film Noir Blonde suggests that the Bryson was where Walter Neff lived in DOUBLE INDEMNITY. I don't have the book handy to check for a reference to it by Cain, but the film doesn't seem to confirm that claim.
What the article below and many other sources indicate, however, is that Fred MacMurray actually bought the Bryson shortly after making the film, and owned the property for 30 years.
Nice photos, but a few featuring the building as it appeared in the various noirs referenced in the article would have been nicer still.
