I'd certainly include it in a festival called "widescreen noir," if only to make sure that there were enough titles in the festival to call it a "festival." But as dark backstage intrigue, let's face it: A DOUBLE LIFE it ain't. Tierney is pretty much wasted in this film, I'm afraid, and its tilt toward the aging glamour-puss side of Ginger Rogers is one of the main reasons why its noir side gets so soggy...
