Re: "L'assassin a peur la nuit" (1942)
More Jean Delannoy, a man who made the mistake of getting into the 1950s equivalent of a flame war with François Truffaut and spent much of the last half of his life in "aesthetic purgatory." That this is still in effect today quite probably explains the current lack of scrutiny at IMDB.
Of the two films made in '42 with the word L'ASSASSIN in the title, this is the one that I find preferable.
