I am curious about it because the main character is paralyzed and was played by an actress (Susan Peters) who was paralyzed in real life in a hunting accident.
Susan Peters had been nominated for an Academy Award for Random Harvest shortly before the accident. She was able to make this one final picture.
In 1950, she was given another chance to act, this time on stage, in a regional production of the Barrett's Of Wimpole Street.
Seems amazing for that time that a disabled person was allowed/managed to work, even for two productions.
All that aside, is SOTR a good noir?
