If you liked STAMPEDE try to see RIDE THE MAN DOWN (1952) with Rod Cameron. Another western noir written by Luke Short and probably the best film Republic ever made.
I wish the Film Foundation could restore it and get it out on blu-ray -- together with another Luke Short western noir, BLOOD ON THE MOON (RKO, 1948) which I understand has been restored but something is holding up a release, or maybe nobody owns it anymore.
