Re: Why did Blackboard top 100 not have Experiment in Terror on it?
I lived in San Francisco for five years (1985-1989), and of course others here on The Blackboard either live there or are deeply familiar with the city. The way that Experiment in Terror captures the feeling of San Francisco by night, and especially that geographically dramatic Twin Peaks neighborhood, is remarkable.
Blake Edwards' next film, Days of Wine and Roses, was also shot partly on location in San Francisco, and also starred Lee Remick. It was released nine months after Experiment in Terror (March and December 1962, respectively).
