Re: Essay on French origins of film noir in the 1930s
Forgive me for being boorish, but may I caution everyone not to over-intellectualize these things. One can go on forever this way or that way down this road or that road until the relativity of every position keeps moving the signpost. I follow the conflicting thoughts, I'm just saying, at some point one just has to slam on the brakes. If you passed this sign before, you're caught in an endless loop within the twilight zone.
Stop worrying and enjoy the festival of French film noir, you lucky stiffs.
