Actually I'm glad that The Pick-UP isn't in color. Part of the "charm" of the "roughies" is that they are mostly in b/w, and available DVD copies come from 16 and 35mm battered projection prints that are filled with scratches and film splices.
This gives them the "roughie" look, and watching them this way puts one in a grindhouse vibe.We can mainly thank Something Weird Video, which , for years, has been adding these "roughies" to their catalog. The fact that The Pick-UP has over 560 downloads from a specific download site shows that there are plenty of people out there in the mood for their "roughies".
