I always thought that it was doubly tragic that Orson Welles was unable to finish "The Deep" (adapted from the novel "Dead Calm") after Laurence Harvey's death. Supposedly, the principal photography was finished and all that remained to do was to complete a special effects scene with explosives. Once the leading man had died, no producer or distributor wanted to touch the film.
Years later, another version of the film was released entitled "Dead Calm."
