Great stuff Mr Deane, an enlightening and entertaining read on the many facets and films of Harvey. Your treatise included a few titles that I don't have and I've made a note of them to acquire. Harvey always seemed to be the haughty guy you just want to slap silly and "get off his high horse" as Crockett. (Wayne) said to Travis (Travis). Your article gives evidence of the greatness of Harvey despite his peculiarities and the worthiness of not only his films in particular but of Brit Noir in general and all those other great Actors and films from the UK that worked beside him (even if he didn't look at them).
