Ha! Double Ha!
Source materials do not matter?
Over the past weekend, I was subjected to the lame 2003 comedy "Cheaper By the Dozen" with Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt. Apart from its title and the fact that the family depicted in the film had a large household, the finished film had nothing to do with the source material or the superior original film with Clifton Webb and Myrna Loy.
Source material does matter! The actual parents (Frank and Lillian Gilbreth) were pioneers in industrial labor management and time motion studies. None of this found its way into the juvenile remake.
