Gyllenhaal plays a small town detective who is the lead man on the disappearance of two small girls. Howard and Jackman play the fathers of the missing girls. Paul Dano is a suspect who the Police release for lack of evidence. Jackman grabs the guy off the street for a bit of personal questioning etc. This is one intense film.
I've only seen 4-5 of Gyllenhaal's films, but he always seems to stands out. Jefty mentioned NIGHTCRAWLER the other day. Gary Deane mentioned SOUTHPAW as one that looked good a few weeks ago. I first saw him in OCTOBER SKY.
His sister, Maggie, is also not a slouch in the acting department.
