It is somewhat surprising to learn that Robert Ryan was raised a few minutes from where I am currently typing this post.
All of the public schools mentioned in the article and letter are still existent. His high school, Loyola Academy, left the Loyola University lakefront campus in Rogers Park, where Ryan attended classes, and relocated to the suburbs.
