Hi Don - Nothing would please me more than a major TV NOIR retrospective here in the Bay Area. I'll be chatting with Dark Marc soon and hopefully he'll be able to help steer me to some hidden jewels. As for an "encyclopedic compendium," yes that is a dream project that hopefully will someday come to fruition.
In the meantime, by all means grab that DVD. All seven episodes are worthwhile, some are truly exceptional.
