My collector print is superb of this film, so there'll be no excuse if it comes up substandard in a commercial release. This is not just great news for noir fans, but all film fans. This might be John Garfield's best film and, in my book, among the top 20 noirs. Would love to hear a commentary by Alan Rode or Eddie Muller on this one ... or both!
